Sam Gedymin started Far Fetched Pets because something was missing in dog care. Too many dog services treat dogs like numbers, or at worst, a nuisance. We treat dogs like individuals, adapting to each and every one, according to their unique natural rhythm. As a Certified Dog Trainer (CCPDT), Sam brings science-based methods and good old fashioned care and common sense to his walking business and training practice.
Whether you’re raising a puppy or welcoming a rescue into your home, those early months matter. The habits built now shape years of behavior to come. Playgroup
Adventure Walks
Training
Our signature service for happy, healthy and social dogs, Playgroup operates Monday-Friday. Dogs are picked up in groups of as many as 4 per handler who work in pairs at the local dog runs in order to ensure the safest environment. This 2.5 hour party will have your dog tired out and satisfied!
Adventure Walks are designed for dogs who thrive on movement and exploration but may not prefer the dog park environment. These walks last up to two hours in small, carefully curated packs of no more than four dogs — always selected with safety, temperament, and group dynamic in mind.
We offer holistic, dog training packages across NYC as well as private, by-the-hour options. Our programs combine Certified Trainer Sessions with hands-on training modules led by seasoned dog handlers, starting with a 30-min intake session with our founder, Sam Gedymin.

Doggie Development is our process and philosophy that blends positive reinforcement and structured play to raise and socialize an exceptional pup. Our team brings the energy and intention to get your dog moving and tuckered out in ways traditional daycares simply aren’t designed for.
